OKLAHOMA CAPITOL --- Marie Wiles, an 18-year veteran of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, was named Director of the OKDHS Human Services Center in Cleveland County.
“Marie has been a valued member of the Area II team for many years,” said Debbie Williams, Area II Director. “She not only brings with her a depth of program experience, but also a very personal touch that will fit right in with the Cleveland County staff.”

Wiles began her OKDHS career as a Family Support Worker in Cotton County. She later transferred to Cleveland County where she served as a Family Support Programs Supervisor and later as a Child Welfare Supervisor. Wiles went on to serve as the Assistant County Director for Cleveland County. She later served briefly as acting County Director for Love County before assuming the County Director position in Grady County.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time in Grady County,” said Wiles. “I feel I’ve been able to help the staff there accomplish a great deal. But at the same time I spent many years at the Cleveland County office, so it will be like going home for me.” Wiles graduated from Spearman High School, Spearman,

Texas, and received her bachelor’s in psychology and sociology from Cameron University, Lawton and her master’s in social work from the University of Oklahoma, Norman.

Wiles lives in Norman with her son, Trevor, 16.
