OKLAHOMA CAPITOL --- Debra Winn, a 13-year veteran of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, will now pull double-duty when she takes over administration of the OKDHS offices in Lincoln and Okfuskee counties.
“Debra is a consummate professional with years of experience in various programs,” said Bill Wilson, Area IV Director. “Her standards, positive attitude and leadership will be a huge asset to the staff in both counties.”
Winn began her career with OKDHS as a temporary employee in the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program in Pittsburg County. She then began working full-time as a Social Services Assistant before serving as a Social Services Specialist. In 1995 Winn began working as a Child Welfare Specialist in Pittsburg County before serving as the SWIFT Adoption Supervisor for the 15 counties of Area IV.
“The staff in both counties have been very gracious and welcoming,” said Winn. “I’m really looking forward to becoming a part of both counties and working hard to ensure that their communities continue to receive the highest quality service."
Winn graduated from McAlester High School and earned her bachelor’s in Journalism and Advertising from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater.
Winn and her husband of 14 years, Marty, have two children, Bryan, 11, and Hillary, 19, a student at the University of Oklahoma, Norman.
