OKLAHOMA CAPITOL--- Harold Douglass, Jr., an 18-year veteran of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, and director of the OKDHS office in Love County, will now pull double-duty when he takes over administration of the OKDHS office in Carter County.
"I am pleased to have Harold as the administrator for Carter County," said Joyce Wilson, Area II Director. "His leadership skills and knowledge of the community will ensure citizens of the county receive the best possible services from OKDHS."

Raised in Ardmore, and a graduate of Ardmore High School, Douglass is familiar with Carter County and its people. Douglass earned a bachelor’s in Sociology and History from Langston University, Langston. He later received a master’s in Urban Management from Texas Wesleyan University, Ft. Worth.

"I will continue the ongoing commitment to uplift the quality of life for all people in Carter and Love counties," said Douglass. "I am a true believer of the need for preserving and advancing families in America."

Douglass began his career with OKDHS in Oklahoma County where he served as a social worker before becoming a social services supervisor. He was promoted to county director of Love County in 1997, where he served until 1998 when he moved to Texas. Douglass returned last year to again take over as director of Love County.
