OKLAHOMA CAPITOL -- Terry Martin, a 17-year veteran of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, has been named Director of the OKDHS office in Pushmataha County.
"I am very happy to welcome Terry to the rank of County Director," said OKDHS Area IV Director Alice Foran. "Terry has made a great career of serving Oklahomans and their families and I know he’ll do great things in Pushmataha County."
Martin began his OKDHS career as a social worker before serving as a preventative services worker. He later served as a job development social worker before being promoted to social services supervisor.
"I would like to ensure that we provide the people of Pushmataha County with the tools that will empower them to better themselves," said Martin. "I am also looking forward to working with the community organizations in developing partnerships that will have a positive impact on the delivery of services to the citizens of this county."
Martin graduated from Antlers High School, and earned a bachelors degree in business administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant.
Martin serves on the Region Nine School-to-Work Board and the Kiamichi Youth Services Board.
Martin’s wife, Regina, teaches third grade in Idabel. They have a daughter, Mallarey, 11.
