WILDFIRES IMPACTING STATE

The State Emergency Operations Center remains activated due to ongoing wildfires and straight-line winds. The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) is in contact with emergency managers across the state and coordinating with agencies and organizations including Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, Oklahoma State Department of Health, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Oklahoma Forestry Services, Oklahoma Insurance Department, Oklahoma National Guard, the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, National Weather Service, Tribal Nations, Oklahoma Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, and others.

MASS CARE

Red Cross is providing meals along with snacks and water in Logan County, Payne County and Blaine County for first responders

Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief teams will be available this weekend to assist with burnout clean up in impacted areas. Please call 844-690-9198 or fill out a request form online at www.okdisasterhelp.org.

STATE SUPPORT

Oklahoma Forestry Services (OFS) personnel have been in contact with local incident commanders and supporting resources requests throughout the day. OFS teams assisted with 12 new fires today and 22 uncontained fires from previous days.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol provided traffic control for numerous fires throughout the day. Troopers also assisted with local evacuations at Greenfield and provided situational awareness across the state for the State EOC and Oklahoma Forestry Services.

FIRE REPORTS

Blaine County Emergency Management reports a fire near Greenfield, named Coyote Fire. Oklahoma Forestry Service, Blaine County, Caddo County, Canadian County, Custer County, and Logan County task forces responded along with mutual aid trucks from Kingfisher County and Greenfield Coyote Fire Department. Limited localized evacuations occurred today. An additional fire, named the Cedar Canyon Fire, is located near Okeene. Oklahoma Forestry Service and Kingfisher County, Logan County, and Major County task forces responded to the Cedar Canyon Fire.

Cushing Emergency Management reports a fire near Cushing, named the Fairlawn Fire. Oklahoma Forestry Services and Lincoln County task forces responded. Coyle, Crescent, Deer Creek, Drumright, Glencoe, Ingalls, Langston, Maramec, NE Lincoln County, Orlando, Oak Cliff, Perkins, Ripley, and Yale fire departments responded along with Payne County Emergency Management.

Logan County Emergency Management reports a fire near Meridian, named the Charter Oak Fire. Oklahoma Forestry Service and Bureau of Indian Affairs teams responded. Woodcrest, Sooner, Meridian, Coyle, Langston, Oak Cliff, Luther, and Edmond fire departments and a Lincoln County strike team responded.

An additional 20 wildfire and hotspot reports were received by the State Emergency Operations Center in the following counties: Blaine, Jackson, Logan, Love, Major, Mayes, Osage, Payne, Pottawatomie, Roger Mills, and Woods.

POWER OUTAGES

Currently, there are more than 700 power outages statewide.
