SEVERE WEATHER IMPACTS STATE
The State Emergency Operations Center remains activated due to ongoing severe weather impacts. The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) is in contact with emergency managers across the state and coordinating with agencies and organizations including Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, Oklahoma State Department of Health, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Oklahoma Forestry Services, Oklahoma Insurance Department, Oklahoma National Guard, National Weather Service, Tribal Nations, Oklahoma Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, and others.
REPORT DAMAGES
Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management is asking residents impacted by the storms to report damages to their home or business at damage.ok.gov. Reporting damage helps local and state emergency managers better coordinate response and recovery efforts and can help connect residents with resources. Residents can report damage to homes, businesses or agriculture through the online survey.
MASS CARE
An American Red Cross shelter is open at Atoka Southside Baptist Church for residents impacted by today’s storm.
Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief has chainsaw and cleanup teams available to assist residents. Call 1-844-690-9198 or visit www.okdisasterhelp.org to request assistance.
The Salvation Army continues to support feeding operations in Garfield County. To date, they have provided more than 3,000 meals, drinks and snacks since April 23.

STORM REPORTS
Atoka Conty Emergency Management reports numerous homes and structures were damaged. Responders helped rescue homeowners who were trapped in their shelter after the storm. Coal County Search and Rescue Team and Durant Technical Rescue Team each deployed to assist. Oklahoma Forestry Services provided two dozers to assist with clearing roadways. The Choctaw Nation Emergency Management supported incident command operations and their drone team responded to assist with damage assessment. Early assessments have found at least 25 homes and businesses with some level of damage in the Caney and Bentley areas. Caney High School has roof damage.
Johnston County Emergency Management reports minor damages in the county. Wapanucka School had a power pole fall on the ag building. At least 11 homes are damaged.
Murray County Emergency Management reports minor damages in the county.
STATE SUPPORT
Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority are supporting debris clearing off roadways in Garfield County.
Oklahoma Forestry Services is providing assistance with road clearing in Atoka County tonight.
Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality is providing support and assistance to cities and counties with water and wastewater system impacts.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol supported traffic control and road closures in the impacted areas.
POWER OUTAGES
At the height of the storm this evening, there were more than 4,000 outages statewide. Currently there are approximately 3,000 outages. The majority of outages are in Atoka County.
STATE OF EMERGENCY
A State of Emergency remains in effect for Garfield and Kay counties. Additional counties may be added to the executive order after today’s storms.
PRICE GOUGING STATUTE IN EFFECT
The Emergency Price Stabilization Act is in effect for counties included in the State of Emergency. The law, also referred to as the price gouging statute, prohibits an increase of more than 10 percent for the price of goods and services and helps protect citizens from unfair price hikes. The statute is in effect for Garfield and Kay.
