The Oklahoma Department of Transportation will present information and seek input on two upcoming projects near Coweta in Wagoner County at an in-person, public open-house meeting on Thursday, Feb. 29. The projects are:
- Safety improvements to SH-72/Broadway Avenue: The improvements include pavement rehabilitation and reconstructing the sidewalks and ramps to meet ADA standards on both sides of the highway. Two alternatives are proposed.
- SH-51 connection with SH-351/Muskogee Turnpike: The proposed design and environmental study results for the project will be presented to the public. This project is part of INCOG's 2045 Regional Transportation Plan that looks to best serve the needs of the traveling public in the area.
Access to businesses and private properties will be maintained during and after construction of both projects. This will be an open house, come-and-go meeting with no formal presentation. Staff will be available to answer questions.
