July Transportation Commission Meeting
The Oklahoma Transportation Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2 in the R.A. Ward Transportation Building, 200 N.E. 21st St. in Oklahoma City. Items to be addressed at the meeting include:
- Commissioners will welcome the department's new Maintenance Engineer Taylor Henderson. Henderson previously served as the Maintenance Engineer in Division 5 in southwest Oklahoma.
- Commissioners will consider approval of a contract for an up to $25 million project to reconstruct the pavement on US-75/US-64/SH-51 in Tulsa (south leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop), and also to rehabilitate five bridges along the south and east legs of the IDL.
- They are also expected to vote on approval of a contract to construct a bridge on S.W. 34th St. over I-35 in Moore and a contract to resurface 3 miles of SH-9 in Seminole.

The commission, an eight-member panel appointed by the governor to oversee the state’s transportation development, awards project contracts for road and bridge construction on a monthly basis.
