Oklahoma Department of Transportation worker Leon Mullican was recently honored as Division One Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2015. The award recognizes hard work and is given to dedicated ODOT employees who consistently exhibit the highest standards in job performance.
Mullican is a Transportation Specialist IV at the Muskogee Residency and has 28 years of service with ODOT. He has worked many years as an inspector on highway construction projects and also volunteered to perform materials testing duties at the residency’s lab.
“Leon genuinely cares about his co-workers in a way that we all should,” ananonymous colleague who nominated him said. “He is nearing retirement and his great attitude will truly be missed.”
Mullican lives in Muskogee with his wife Barbara. They have two daughters and two granddaughters and enjoy spending time with friends and family.
Division One is headquartered in Muskogee and oversees highway construction and maintenance in Adair, Cherokee, Haskell, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Sequoyah and Wagoner counties.
