Thaddaeus Babb
Thaddaeus Babb joined Oklahoma Department of Transportation as the Waterways Program Manager in February 2018. In this role, Babb was responsible for coordinating and partnering with public and private port operators and stakeholders along the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System based in Tulsa. Babb also works closely with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, the Oklahoma Waterways Advisory Board, and elected officials and their staff to represent the Department in waterway transportation operations. In Fall of 2022, Babb accepted the role of Branch Manager for the Office of Freight Mobility in ODOT’s Multi-Modal Division. In this role, Babb oversees ODOT’s Waterways, Rail and State Safety Oversight Programs.
Babb has been employed with the state of Oklahoma for over 14 years. Prior to joining ODOT, he worked as the Business Services Coordinator for the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services. Babb holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology with a Master’s Certification in Human Resources Management from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Psychology from Northeastern State University.
He and his wife, Sheela, have three boys and two girls and live in Jenks. In his free time, Babb enjoys songwriting, singing, and playing the guitar, professionally, throughout the state.
