“Infection Prevention and Control Recommendations for Health-Care Providers” (05/08/23): The recommendations in this guidance continue to apply after the expiration of the federal COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. This guidance provides a framework for facilities to implement select infection prevention and control practices (e.g., universal source control) based on their individual circumstances (e.g., levels of respiratory virus transmission in the community). This guidance is applicable to all U.S. settings where healthcare is delivered (including nursing homes and home health). This guidance is not intended for non-healthcare settings (e.g., restaurants) and not for persons outside of healthcare settings.
“Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training”: The Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training course is designed for individuals responsible for infection prevention and control (IPC) programs in nursing homes.
The course was produced by CDC in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
