OKLAHOMA CITY – The OSAC appoints Diana Fletcher as its new director after Joe Miller retires from an 18-year tenure as the Director of the Commission.
Fletcher brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, previously working an Inspector for the OSAC for 15 years.
"I am honored and excited to take on this new role as Director,” said Fletcher. “Over the years, I have witnessed the growth and evolution of combat sports and boxing in our state, and I am eager to contribute to the continued success and safety of these events. I want to thank the Commission for their confidence in me, and I am committed to upholding the integrity and safety that our athletes and fans deserve."
The OSAC is responsible for implementing the OSAC act and to protect, maintain and improve the safety and welfare of participants of professional boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing, as well as the general public attending these events.
In this new role, Fletcher will extend her regulatory oversight to include bare-knuckle boxing, committing to ensuring the safety and well-being of athletes in Oklahoma.
“With a comprehensive understanding of the industry, combined with a genuine passion for combat sports, I feel well positioned to lead and navigate the diverse challenges of athletic regulation,” said Fletcher.
