Helping Oklahoma Moms and Babies Breastfeed Successfully

Breastfeeding helps babies get the best start in life. It helps children reach their full potential for health and growth.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health supports breastfeeding as the recommended way to feed most babies. OSDH encourages actions and education that promote, protect, and support breastfeeding and the health of all Oklahoma children.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health is working to achieve the goals set by the Healthy People 2030 Breastfeeding Objectives, through breastfeeding promotion, education and support to health care providers, OSDH staff and the community.
