An extraordinary day of outreach recently unfolded at the John Lilley Correctional Center in Boley, Oklahoma, where over 650 incarcerated men participated in a powerful faith-based event led by Victory Church of Tulsa. With the message "God is not done with you yet," the day served as a reminder of the enduring power of grace, redemption, and community.
The event was made possible with the support of the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) in partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC). Together, these organizations provided access and space at the facility.
“This was more than just a service—it was a moment of restoration,” said OFBCI Director Brian Bobek who was in attendance. “It reminded everyone that it is never too late, no matter a person’s past.”
Faith continues to play a central role in the restorative journey for many individuals within the correctional system. Ministries like Victory Church - Tulsa are instrumental in providing encouragement and support to those seeking a new path forward.
OFBCI is proud to partner with organizations that walk alongside individuals in moments of vulnerability and growth. Events like this demonstrate the profound impact faith-based organizations can have in the correctional system.
Healing is happening. Redemption is real. Hope is alive.
