Strengthening Communities Through Partnership: OFBCI, Oklahoma Assemblies of God, and OKDHS
The Oklahoma Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Oklahoma Assemblies of God and Oklahoma Human Services Child Welfare (OKDHS)—a collaboration focused on supporting some of our state’s most vulnerable children and families.
The initiative officially launched in Seminole and Hughes Counties, where local pastors gathered to learn more about child welfare needs in their communities and explore practical ways churches can come alongside OKDHS in meaningful partnership.
During the kickoff, participants met with local leaders, toured the DHS office, and engaged in heartfelt conversations about the vital work being done each day to ensure children’s safety and family stability.
We are deeply grateful for the Oklahoma Assemblies of God—for their heart to serve “the least, the last, and the lost” and for their vision to mobilize nearly 500 churches statewide to take an active role in meeting local needs.
Together, we are building stronger communities and brighter futures across Oklahoma.
