Partnerships Bringing Hope and Restoration to Oklahoma Correctional Facilities

Friday, June 05, 2026

The Oklahoma Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives recently joined Victory Church Tulsa during an outreach event at Red Rock Correctional Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. As the largest facility within the Oklahoma Department of Corrections system, Red Rock houses more than 2,700 medium- and maximum-security male inmates, including the state's only protective custody unit.

This visit is part of an ongoing partnership that demonstrates the impact of community engagement, faith-based outreach, and collaboration in supporting restoration and rehabilitation efforts across Oklahoma.

For more than a year, Victory Church Tulsa has invested significant time, financial resources, and volunteer support to serve incarcerated individuals throughout the state. Through privately funded outreach events featuring fellowship, encouragement, worship, and grilled burgers, the church has consistently demonstrated its commitment to reaching individuals with hope and positive community connections.

What began as a single outreach effort has grown into a statewide initiative. To date, Victory Church Tulsa and its volunteers have visited 12 correctional facilities across Oklahoma, with plans to continue expanding their efforts. These events provide meaningful opportunities for encouragement and connection while reinforcing the importance of community involvement in supporting successful rehabilitation and reentry outcomes.

The partnership also highlights the value of collaboration between faith communities, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies. By working together, these groups are helping create environments where individuals can experience support, accountability, and hope for a better future.

The Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives extends its sincere gratitude to Victory Church Tulsa and the many volunteers who generously give their time and resources to make these events possible. Their continued investment serves as a powerful example of communities stepping forward to meet needs and make a lasting difference.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections leadership and the dedicated staff members at Red Rock Correctional Center and facilities across the state. Their partnership, professionalism, and commitment to providing opportunities for positive programming are essential to the success of these outreach efforts. Through their collaboration and willingness to engage community partners, lives are being impacted and pathways toward restoration are being strengthened.

Together, we are demonstrating the power of partnership, the value of every individual, and the belief that hope and transformation are possible when communities work together.
