OFBCI Joins Victory Church-Tulsa for Transformative Outreach at Joseph Harp Correctional Center
The Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) had the privilege of joining Victory Church-Tulsa’s Prison Ministry for a powerful outreach event at the Joseph Harp Correctional Center in Lexington. The day was filled with hope, transformation, and renewed purpose as volunteers and inmates came together in faith and fellowship.
A team of 43 Victory Church volunteers served tirelessly throughout the day, sharing messages of hope and encouragement. Their efforts reached 1,119 inmates, 1,600 meals served, and 1,400 Bibles distributed. Each interaction reflected compassion in action and a shared belief in the power of second chances.
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections continues to play a key role in making these events possible, demonstrating the impact that strong partnerships between faith-based organizations and state agencies can have on the lives of others. The Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) is deeply grateful for their partnership and ongoing collaboration with our office.
This outreach is a shining example of what can happen when people come together to serve with purpose. Together, we are opening hearts, changing lives, and planting seeds of hope that will continue to grow long after this special day.
