The Hope Summit, held in May 2025 in Norman, Oklahoma, brought together more than 300 leaders from businesses, healthcare, nonprofits, churches, and education. Hosted by Hope Rising USA, the event focused on using the Science of Hope to empower individuals, families, and entire communities to lead better lives.
Keynote speakers included Dr. Chan Hellman, Dr. Angela Pharris, and Oklahoma First Lady Sarah Stitt, each of whom shared powerful insights into how hope is more than just a feeling—it’s a measurable, applicable science. As Hope Rising USA explains, “Hope is not simply a wish or a feeling. It is a proven science we can measure, apply, and cultivate in our communities. And as over 2,000 studies show, it is a leading predictor of success in nearly every sector.”
The energy at the summit was palpable, with attendees showing deep dedication to learning and collaboration. One highlight of the event was a special lunch breakout session coordinated by the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI), which brought together numerous church leaders for meaningful dialogue and connection.
Together, participants are helping to create a future where hope becomes a driving force for change—building momentum and transforming communities for the better.
