Faith Leaders Gather in Woodward to Strengthen Support for Families

Friday, May 29, 2026

Leaders from the Oklahoma Assembly of God, local churches, and Oklahoma Human Services recently gathered in Woodward for an encouraging conversation focused on strengthening support for children and families in the community.

During the meeting, child welfare leadership and staff shared local county statistics, current needs, and gaps they are working diligently to address within the child welfare system. Attendees listened with open hearts and a shared desire to explore meaningful ways to serve families in need.

What followed was a powerful discussion centered on partnership and collaboration. Local pastors and church representatives responded with ideas to help strengthen families, support foster families, and create greater community connection and care.

Opportunities like this highlight the importance of bringing together faith leaders, nonprofits, and state agencies to address challenges collectively and create lasting impact. We are grateful for the dedicated workforce, compassionate leadership, and growing partnerships that continue to bring hope and support to Oklahoma communities.

We look forward to seeing the collaborative efforts that will emerge from this gathering and the positive impact they will have on families throughout the Woodward area.
