Empowering Leaders and Strengthening Oklahoma Through Collaboration

Leaders from Across Oklahoma Come Together at ORU's Empowered to Lead Event

Brian Bobek, Oklahoma Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives Director, was honored to participate in a recent leadership event designed to bring together leaders from across Oklahoma to learn, grow, and strengthen their communities.

Oral Roberts University recently hosted Empowered to Lead, a one-day leadership event that brought together leaders representing community organizations, businesses, and faith-based organizations from across the state. The event was hosted by the David and Barbara Green Centre for Global Leadership in partnership with TCIX Rail.

Opportunities like Empowered to Lead provide valuable space for leaders from different sectors to come together, learn from one another, and build relationships that can lead to stronger collaboration.

While each organization and leader brings unique experiences, expertise, and perspectives to their work, meaningful progress often happens when people are willing to come together around a shared commitment to strengthening their communities.

Events like this also reflect the importance of cross-sector collaboration—a growing focus of the Oklahoma Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives. OFBCI believes Oklahoma is strengthened when government, faith communities, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and other community leaders work together to identify needs and explore solutions.
