Cleveland County Courthouse Celebrates Installation of “In God We Trust” Signage
The Cleveland County Board of Commissioners recently held a dedication ceremony to celebrate the installation of new signage displaying the national motto, “In God We Trust,” on the Cleveland County Courthouse.
The event marked a meaningful moment of reflection on shared values, history, and community commitment, bringing together local, city, and state leaders for the occasion. Oklahoma Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFCBI) Director Brian Bobek was honored to provide the opening prayer and lead attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Commissioner McHughes reflected on the significance of the moment, stating:
“As our nation celebrates 70 years of our national motto, ‘In God We Trust,’ we are honored to now display it on the Cleveland County Courthouse. We hope it’s an encouraging symbol of our nation’s history, strength and resilience.”
The dedication served as a reminder of the enduring principles that unite communities across Oklahoma and the importance of collaboration between faith, government, and civic leaders. The new signage now stands as a visible symbol of encouragement and trust, rooted in the nation’s heritage and carried forward through local leadership.
