CityServe Oklahoma Expands Support for Students in Need

Tuesday, February 24, 2026

CityServe Oklahoma continues to make a powerful impact across communities statewide through strong collaboration with churches and nonprofit partners.

Recently, 59 churches and nonprofits representing 18 cities across Oklahoma gathered—led by CityServe Oklahoma—to align efforts around supporting and stocking school resource rooms for students in need. This coordinated approach is already producing measurable results. In just the past five months, 78 school resource rooms across multiple school districts have been stocked through this unified initiative.

By partnering with local churches and community organizations, CityServe Oklahoma helps ensure students experiencing homelessness have access to brand-new clothing, personal hygiene items, school supplies, snacks, and other essential resources. These school-based resource rooms provide practical support while helping students maintain dignity and stability during challenging seasons.

Director Bobek had the honor of speaking with this inspiring group of leaders who are truly living out the principle of neighbors helping neighbors. The Oklahoma Faith-Based and Community Initiative is grateful to partner in efforts that strengthen communities and expand hope across our state.

Special appreciation goes to Terry Henshaw and the entire CityServe Oklahoma team for their leadership and service. The impact being made in the lives of students and families is both tangible and lasting.

We are grateful for every organization represented and for the shared commitment to ensuring Oklahoma students have the support they need to thrive.
