The Oklahoma Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) was honored to take part in the 2025 Oklahoma Fatherhood Summit, where remarks were shared on behalf of Governor Kevin Stitt to help open this important statewide event.
Hosted by the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY) in partnership with Birthright Living Legacy and other community organizations, the summit took place on November 8 at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow.
This year’s theme, “Be You. Be Different. Be Dad: Embracing Fatherhood,” celebrated the vital role fathers play in building stronger families and communities. The event brought together fathers, mentors, caregivers, and service providers from across Oklahoma for a day of connection, learning, and empowerment.
Participants engaged in workshops and discussions focused on effective parenting, family strengthening, youth success, and community resources that support father involvement. The event also featured a resource fair connecting attendees to local organizations dedicated to family well-being.
OFBCI is proud to support collaborative efforts like this that strengthen Oklahoma families and highlight the power of community partnerships.
