Building Stronger Partnerships to Support Oklahoma Families

Friday, August 14, 2026

Director Brian Bobek recently met with Pastor Jonathan Knox, Senior Pastor of Magnify Church in Norman, to discuss opportunities for faith communities and state agencies to work together to strengthen Oklahoma communities.

Pastor Knox is also co-founder of The Surround Center, an innovative, trauma-informed care hub being developed in Cleveland County to support foster and kinship families. The center is designed to bring services together in one place, including therapy, coordinated care, and caregiver support, with the goal of strengthening placements and helping children remain connected to their communities.

In addition to his work with Magnify Church and The Surround Center, Pastor Knox serves as Executive Director of Community Action Missions (CAM), which equips young people to serve their communities through local mission opportunities and service projects.

OFBCI is grateful for leaders who are looking beyond what their individual organizations can accomplish and asking, “How can we make a greater impact together?”

Partnerships like these create opportunities to connect resources, strengthen families, support vulnerable children, and build healthier, more connected communities across Oklahoma.
