The Oklahoma Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives (OFBCI) is committed to connecting with organizations that are creating meaningful opportunities for Oklahomans to thrive.
Director Brian Bobek recently met with Cory Minter to learn more about the work of 1440 Promise and how the organization has grown to meet the needs of individuals returning to their communities after incarceration.
The name 1440 Promise is a reminder that each day contains 1,440 minutes—and that every minute is an opportunity to pursue purpose, make positive choices, and experience lasting freedom. Through mentoring, practical support, and community partnerships, the organization works to help individuals successfully navigate the challenges of reentry while building lives marked by hope and stability.
The conversation focused on opportunities for collaboration and the important role that faith communities, nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies can play in supporting successful reentry. When organizations work together, they can strengthen the network of resources available to individuals and families and help reduce barriers to long-term success.
