Help Make the Holidays Brighter for a Foster Child
The Holiday Hope program, a heartfelt initiative by Oklahoma Human Services in partnership with communities statewide, is all about bringing joy, support, and a sense of hope during the holiday season. By connecting generous community partners with foster families and children involved in Child Welfare Services, the program helps ensure that everyone feels the warmth, wonder, and magic of the holidays.
In 2024, our community partners provided holiday gifts to over 5,300 children through Holiday Hope.
How to Help?
The agency has a heightened need for gift cards as they allow items to be purchased for children who may enter the child welfare system after the wish list deadline. Gift cards will also be given to all youth placed in Child Welfare shelters for the holidays.
Gift cards can range from $50-$100 and be from Wal-Mart, Target or Amazon.
Gift cards need to be picked up by the end of day 12/17/2025; please reach out to us at HolidayHope@okdhs.org if you have collected gift cards and we can help arrange pick-up.
We hope you’ll join us this year to support our foster parents and put a smile on a child’s face and hope in their heart!
