Supporting the Journey: Faith, Mental Wellness, and Community Care Webinar
Description
You are invited to join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Center for Faith for a webinar, “Supporting the Journey: Faith, Mental Wellness, and Community Care ,” on Thursday, May 28 at 1:00 PM CT on Zoom. This Mental Health Awareness Month discussion will explore how faith and community partnerships can help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges with compassion, connection, and support. At a time when many individuals and families are experiencing stress, isolation, anxiety, grief, and uncertainty, trusted relationships and compassionate communities are more important than ever.
Mental health affects every part of life, including relationships, work, housing stability, spiritual well-being, and overall health. Faith leaders, faith communities, healthcare providers, and community organizations are often trusted sources of support and may be the first place someone turns during difficult moments. Participants will leave with practical resources, conversation strategies, and tools to help strengthen mental wellness, support children and families, encourage compassionate communication, and connect individuals to care and community-based resources, including resources from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
