Autism Foundation of Oklahoma
This partnership between DDCO and the Autism Foundation of Oklahoma (AFO) has developed a training for employers in Oklahoma to be better equipped to provide support and/or workplace accommodations for employees with autism and other developmental disabilities.
AFO works in collaboration with the Council, Department of Rehabilitation, Oklahoma Works, local universities and colleges, and other stakeholders who can and are willing to add value to this project with their expertise and existing resources.
This collaboration helps the Council achieve Goal 3, Objective 6 of its 5-Year State Plan: Employers, community leaders, family members and the wider community will have an increased understanding about the benefits of having individuals with developmental disabilities.
