Listening to Those with Lived Experiences at the Rethinking Paying Subminimal Wage Task Force

The second meeting of the Rethinking Paying Subminimal Wage to Persons with Disabilities Task Force was held last week on Friday, April 24. The Task Force is led by Rep. Ellyn Hefner, D-Oklahoma City and Senate Democratic Leader Julia Kirt, D-Oklahoma City.  If you missed the meeting, you can still watch, listen, and learn from those with lived experiences who shared their employment stories to the task force. We thank those who shared for their story with the Task Force. 

Also serving on the task force are representatives of businesses, nonprofits, and self-advocates, and is ‎authorized until Nov. 1, 2027.‎
