Online de-escalation training for library staff who interact with individuals experiencing homelessness. The Oklahoma Department of Libraries provides a statewide subscription to these trainings. The Maine State Library curates a calendar of free training opportunities for libraries. The calendar contains 60-90 free library related education events each month. Events cover all aspects of librarianship for all types of libraries.

Created by the Idaho Commission for Libraries and available through WebJunction, the collection of 12 online, self-paced courses, offers a wide-range of introductory courses for individuals new to the library field. The ABLE courses are organized around three key topical areas: Collection Development, Technical Services, and Public Services.

But, throughout it all, the core mission continues to be helping libraries help readers. There are both free and paid trainings available in their course catalog.

American Libraries Live webcasts cover the full spectrum of library topics and give the ALA community a chance to learn about and discuss issues it deals with daily. Each program lasts 60 minutes.
