Judicial Ethics Advisory Panel
While the Council on Judicial Complaints is authorized to investigate allegations of misconduct, it cannot give legal advice or opinions on hypothetical or future conduct. Instead, the Judicial Ethics Advisory Panel was created for this purpose. The Judicial Ethics Advisory Panel serves as an advisory committee for justices, judges, retired or active retired justices and judges, and bona fide candidates for judicial office seeking opinions concerning the compliance of an intended future course of conduct with the Code of Judicial Conduct.
