Deputy Director

Shawn Kirkland currently serves as the Deputy Director for ODVA.  Prior to his most recent promotion, Shawn was the Director of Homes for the agency, where he was responsible for providing administrative direction and general oversight of daily operations for all seven ODVA veterans’ centers. Prior to joining ODVA, Shawn served as Long Term Care Administrator for a privately owned company in southern Oklahoma. 

Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Health Sciences from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and is a licensed Long Term Care Administrator.

In his leisure time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and working on do-it-yourself (DIY) projects at home.
