GOVERNOR STITT SIGNS 5 BILLS INTO LAW, VETOES 3

OKLAHOMA CITY (April 27, 2026) - Governor Kevin Stitt signed the following five bills into law, vetoing three:

SIGNED

SB 1221

An Act relating to driver licenses; requiring Service Oklahoma to enact certain license tracking system by or before certain date; requiring Service Oklahoma to enact certain expedited delivery of credentials by or before certain date; providing for codification; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency. 

SB 1432

An Act relating to teachers; amending 70 O.S. 2021, Section 6-133, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 349, O.S.L. 2023 (70 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section 6-133), which relates to a teacher certification pilot program; removing reference to pilot status of program; removing sunset date; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency. 

SB 2118

An Act relating to counties; amending 19 O.S. 2021, Section 180.43, as amended by Section 4, Chapter 394, O.S.L. 2024 (19 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section 180.43), which relates to county sheriff expenses; authorizing surplus funds from county sheriff commissary account to be used for certain purposes; and providing an effective date. 

SB 2134

An Act relating to agriculture; defining term; providing for the State Board of Agriculture to promulgate rules; requiring Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry to provide certain guidance to certain county organizations; defining term; requiring wreckers to take certain action in certain circumstance; requiring certain county organization to provide certain assistance; providing for codification; and providing an effective date. 

HB 4486

An Act relating to the State Capitol Preservation Commission; authorizing the placement of a monument near the State Capitol Arch; directing the State Capitol Preservation Commission to work with private entities to erect the monument; providing for codification; and declaring an emergency.

An Act relating to professions and occupations; amending 59 O.S. 2021, Section 161.4, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 1, O.S.L. 2024 (59 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section 161.4), which relates to the Board of Chiropractic Examiners; extending sunset date; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency. 

HB 3004

An Act relating to professions and occupations; amending 59 O.S. 2021, Section 582, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 252, O.S.L. 2023 (59 O.S. Supp. 2025, Section 582), which relates to the Board of Examiners in Optometry; extending sunset date; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency. 

HB 3007

An Act relating to environment and natural resources; amending 27A O.S. 2021, Section 2-2-201, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 69, O.S.L. 2023 (27A O.S. Supp. 2025, Section 2-2-201), which relates to advisory councils; extending sunset date; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency.
