Governor J. Kevin Stitt

Governor Stitt is the 28th Governor of Oklahoma, first elected in 2018 as a political outsider and now serving in his second term.

For the past 7 ½ years, he has pushed to make Oklahoma a Top 10 state across all metrics. Under his leadership, Oklahoma has built the largest savings account in state history, cut $2 billion in taxes, and experienced record economic development, over $14 billion in projects announced in 2025.

As an entrepreneur, Governor Stitt has personally lived the American Dream and knows the challenges that big government presents to job creators. Too often, bills passed in the Capitol building stifle the success and dreams of the people they are supposed to help. Governor Stitt believes that success should be rewarded, not punished. That’s why he launched his National Governors Association chair’s initiative, “Reigniting the American Dream” with the belief that with access to a good education, the opportunity to build a business, and the energy to power these dreams, everyone can chase their American Dream.

During his term, Governor Stitt has driven record state investment in public education, including three teacher pay raises and historic levels of annual state funding for schools. He championed Open Transfer, Charter school development and the Parental Choice Tax Credit, allowing all Oklahoma families to choose the school that best fits their needs.

Governor Stitt has been married to his wife Sarah for 28 years. They have 6 children and recently welcomed their first grandchild.
