Monday, March 23, 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 23, 2026) - Governor Kevin Stitt today issued an executive order directing all American and Oklahoma flags on state property to be flown at half-staff from 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, to honor the lives, service, and sacrifice of Goldsby Fire Chief Bryan Jenkins and firefighter Todd Pendleton.

Chief Bryan Jenkins, 63, and firefighter Todd Pendleton, 62, were dedicated members of the Goldsby Fire Department who lost their lives in the line of duty while serving their community. Jenkins served as Fire Chief, and both men were longtime volunteer firefighters who gave countless hours in service to the residents of Goldsby and the surrounding area.

“The bravery and selflessness displayed by Fire Chief Bryan Jenkins and firefighter Todd Pendleton embody the best of the Oklahoma spirit,” said Governor Stitt. “Their dedication to protecting the lives of others represents the highest calling of public service, and our state mourns deeply alongside their families, fellow first responders, and community.”

The executive order can be found here.
