Governor Stitt Congratulates Adria Berry on Next Chapter, Announces Jason Yingling as Interim OMMA Director
OKLAHOMA CITY (October 21, 2026) – Governor Kevin Stitt today announced that Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) Executive Director Adria Berry will step down to pursue new opportunities.
“Adria navigated a complex industry with grit and professionalism,” said Governor Stitt. “She built a strong team at OMMA that carefully navigates the ins and outs of this industry, and she has a clear track record of results. I am grateful for her years of service in my administration and to the State of Oklahoma.”
Berry has served as the director of OMMA since 2021. In 2025, Governor Stitt named her as secretary of licensing and regulation.
“I’m so grateful for Governor Stitt and his trust in me and the team at OMMA,” said Secretary Berry. “Having his support as we built a regulatory structure that reigned in the “Wild West of Weed” made it possible to root out bad actors and make our state safer.”
Governor Stitt will name Jason Yingling as interim director for the remainder of his term. Yingling currently serves as the deputy chief of compliance and enforcement.
“Jason has worked tirelessly alongside Adria and the team at OMMA since 2022, bringing a background in law enforcement and public safety to the role,” said Governor Stitt. “His experience will continue OMMA’s work to keep bad actors out of our state.”
Yingling is a lifelong Oklahoman, law enforcement leader, and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He spent 13 years with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, rising to Lieutenant in the Patrol Division while serving on the Tactical Team. During his tenure, he earned designation as a certified National Instructor for the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program. He then joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), graduating as part of the 63rd OHP Academy class. During his six years with OHP, Yingling was stationed with Troop F in Ardmore, conducted background investigations, and served as a lead academy instructor.
“It is an honor to continue to serve my state in this capacity,” said Yingling. “I am proud of the work OMMA has done to protect Oklahomans, and it has been an honor to serve with Adria Berry throughout my tenure. I look forward to continuing her work here, and I am grateful to Governor Stitt for trusting me with this role.
Adria Berry will remain in her role as secretary of licensing and regulation for the remainder of the Governor’s term.
