OKLAHOMA CITY (February 19, 2026) - Governor Kevin Stitt today amended Executive Order 2026-09 to include Harper County in the State of Emergency declaration following destructive wildfires and strong winds impacting northwest Oklahoma.
“The damage caused by these wildfires continues to place a heavy burden on communities across the Panhandle,” said Governor Stitt. “Adding Harper County ensures the state can continue supporting local firefighters, first responders, and residents as they recover. Oklahomans always step up for one another, and I know we’ll get through this together.”
Executive Order 2026-09, originally issued February 17, 2026, declared a State of Emergency in Beaver, Texas, and Woodward counties. The amended order now includes Harper County. State and local emergency management teams remain on high alert as conditions continue to evolve.
Executive Order 2026-09, as amended, will remain in effect for 30 days and can be read in full here.
