Today, Governor Kevin Stitt announced Mark Melton as the associate district judge for Murray County.
“I’m proud to announce Mark Melton as associate district judge for Murray County,” said Governor Stitt. “He’s committed to law and order, has an excellent reputation, and he’ll be a great steward of justice.”
Melton began his career as a personal injury attorney. He practiced civil litigation before opening his private practice in Davis, OK in 2014, where he handled family, criminal, and civil matters.
“I’m deeply grateful to Governor Stitt for the opportunity to serve my fellow Oklahomans, as there is nothing more satisfying than helping to change someone’s life for the better,” said Melton. "As a lawyer, we often meet clients at their worst moments. As a judge, I hope to make a difference in Murray County by advancing equal justice for all.”
Melton graduated from East Central University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies. He went on to earn his law degree from the Oklahoma City School of Law in 2005.
