Today, Governor Kevin Stitt announced Nicholas R. Tucker as the associate district judge of Pushmataha County.
"Nicholas is guided by the principles of fairness and justice - and that is exactly the type of person Oklahoma needs on the bench," said Governor Stitt."I am confident he will serve Pushmataha County well and be an excellent steward of justice."
In his current role, Tucker practices probate, estate planning, real estate, and general civil litigation across southeast Oklahoma. Tucker began his law career as an assistant district attorney for the 8th District, where he prosecuted an array of felony and misdemeanor crime across Kay County. He later joined a private firm in Ardmore, practicing civil litigation in the areas of oil and gas, real estate, and business law.
"I am honored to serve my community as an associate district judge," said Tucker. "Pushmataha County deserves a judge who has a vested interest in its welfare, safety, and our people, and I'm humbled to be Governor Stitt's choice for the job. I am confident that I can use my knowledge and legal experience to serve my community with fairness and honesty."
Tucker earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University in 2014, and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Tulsa School of Law in 2017. Tucker resides in Antlers, OK with his wife and three children.
