Governor Stitt Orders Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Fallen Officer

Wednesday, October 04, 2023

Governor Kevin Stitt issued Executive Order 2023-26, directing all American and Oklahoma flags on state property to be flown at half-staff today to honor the life and legacy of Ringling Police Captain John Randolph. Flags should remain lowered on Wednesday, October 4 from 8:00AM until 5:00PM.

The executive order reads, in part: "The state of Oklahoma recognizes not only our law enforcement officers but the families of those who continue to protect and serve our communities and the sacrifices they make daily," said Governor Stitt. "The dedicated men and women who work as law enforcement officers face extraordinary peril while protecting our citizenry and I ask you to join me in prayer for their ongoing safety."

Captain Randolph's nearly three decades of exemplary service to law enforcement will not be forgotten. Captain Randolph is survived by his wife, son, daughter, parents, and brother.
