Governor Kevin Stitt expressed his appreciation for the service of Oklahoma State Board of Education member Suzanne Reynolds, who announced her resignation today. Governor Stitt will appoint her to the Board of Regents for the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

"Suzanne has been a fighter for parents, a champion for students, and a dedicated advocate for education in Oklahoma," said Governor Stitt. "Suzanne leaves behind a legacy of unwavering commitment toward elevating our education system, and I have no doubt she will continue to do good for parents and students in our state."

In Reynolds' letter of resignation, she wrote, in part:

"It has been an honor and a privilege to serve on the Board, working alongside parents, teachers, and community leaders to advance education in Oklahoma... Your [Governor Stitt] vision for education in Oklahoma has been an inspiration and a driving force behind the board's efforts."

The Governor's Office will now initiate the process of selecting a qualified individual to fill the vacant seat on the Oklahoma State Board of Education.
