Governor Kevin Stitt Announces Altus as First Stop on 2021 Top Ten Cabinet Tour

OKLAHOMA CITY (July 15, 2021) – Governor Kevin Stitt and cabinet secretaries will visit Altus on July 22 as part of the annual cabinet tour to allow Oklahomans to hear from state leaders and discuss issues important to their communities.

The Altus visit will start at 9 a.m. with a public presentation by the governor and cabinet secretaries at the Herschal H. Crow Fine Arts Center on the Western Oklahoma State College campus. A reception will follow where Oklahomans can speak one-on-one with the governor and state leaders.

“I’m excited for people in Southwestern Oklahoma to meet and hear from my talented cabinet during our visit,” said Gov. Stitt. “I look forward to giving an update on all of the great things we’re doing to make Oklahoma a Top Ten state.”

WHEN: Thursday, July 22. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., public meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 10:00 a.m. with a public meet and greet to follow.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell, Secretary of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage; Brian Bingman, Secretary of State and Native American Affairs; Blayne Arthur, Secretary of Agriculture; Scott Mueller, Secretary of Commerce and Workforce Development; Steven Harpe, Chief Operating Officer, Acting Secretary of Digital Transformation and Administration; Jennifer Grigsby, Secretary of Economic Administration; Ryan Walters, Secretary of Education; Kenneth Wagner, Secretary of Energy and Environment; Kevin Corbett, Secretary of Health and Mental Health; Tricia Everest, Secretary of Public Safety; Justin Brown, Secretary of Human Services; Susan Winchester, Secretary of Licensing and Regulation; Tim Gatz, Secretary of Transportation; Elizabeth Pollard, Secretary of Science and Innovation; and General Ben T. Robinson, Secretary of Veteran Affairs and Military.

Following the public meeting, the governor and cabinet secretaries will be visiting Altus Air Force Base and participating in a tour of the cotton industry and a food processing facility.  Media can RSVP to press@gov.ok.gov for additional logistics regarding these visits.

Stitt started the Top Ten cabinet tour upon taking office in 2019 to share the progress and achievements of his administration and hear from Oklahomans about issues that matter to them.

Altus is the first of three stops planned for 2021.
