GOVERNOR KEVIN STITT APPOINTS TULSA COUNTY DISTRICT JUDGE

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 16, 2020)— Governor Kevin Stitt announced today the appointment of James Robert Huber as a District Judge for Tulsa County.      

"I am proud to appoint Jim Huber as Tulsa County’s newest district judge," said Gov. Stitt. "Judge Huber’s experience, integrity and heart for service make him the right person for the job. He has already been serving Tulsa County families as a Special Judge and attorney, and I look forward to his continued service to the citizens of Tulsa County in this new role."

Judge Huber has served Tulsa County as a Special Judge since 2019 and has resolved several domestic and family law disputes since assuming his post. Prior to his judicial service, Huber worked as president and managing partner of The Collier & Huber Law Firm from 2005 to 2019 and president and managing partner of The J.R. Huber Law Firm from 1995 to 2005. While in private practice, Huber managed a diverse portfolio of clients including financial institutions, criminal defendants, and businesses and individuals in employment disputes.

"It is an honor to be appointed by Governor Stitt as a District Judge for Tulsa County," said Huber. "I understand the importance of the position and the hard work necessary to satisfy the obligations to the citizens of Tulsa County. I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the citizens of Tulsa County while honoring the role of the judiciary by upholding the rule of law." 

Huber holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma (1990) and a Juris Doctor from University of Tulsa College of Law (1993). He resides in Tulsa with his wife Julianne and their five children; Hailey, Allie, Katie, Jake and Joe. He has served on the Marquette Catholic School advisory board, the board of directors for the Tulsa Boys’ Home and has coached youth football for over 25 years. 

Tulsa County is in the 14th Judicial District, which includes Tulsa and Pawnee counties.
