State Investigators Confirm More Pleas in Major Drug Trafficking Conspiracy

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) confirms more pleas have been reached stemming from a joint investigation involving ODOC agents and other law enforcement officials.

Ramon Dominquez, 46, currently incarcerated, and Stephanie Soliz, 46, of Oklahoma City, pleaded guilty this week to operating a drug trafficking conspiracy orchestrated from prison.

Although Dominquez is currently serving a life sentence for first-degree murder, he and others managed to coordinate this enterprise from prison using contraband cell phones. Dominquez’s spouse and co-defendant, Soliz, served as his proxy on the street.

Today’s pleas are the result of a lengthy investigation by agents from ODOC’s Office of the Inspector General in addition to federal agents and Oklahoma City Police Department investigators.

So far, this investigation has led to the indictments of more than 40 defendants. Thirty-four have already pleaded guilty; six are still awaiting trial or plea hearings.
