Guardian Angels Program rescue dog up for adoption into loving home

Monday, March 09, 2020

Mayhem, shown here, is up for adoption at Mabel BassettMCLOUD, Okla. – A program that pairs shelter dogs with inmates for obedience training has another graduate looking for home. The Guardian Angels Program at Mabel Bassett Correctional Center provides inmates with a purpose and a shelter dog with a new lease on life.

Mayhem, a 1-year-old heeler mix, is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on his shots.

Staff describe Mayhem as a sweet dog who will make someone a great pet. He behaves well around other dogs.

Contact Cory Ketch at MBCC, 405-964-1710, or email him at cory.ketch@doc.ok.gov for more information.

Mayhem’s adoption fee is $100, which supports the program’s operation.
