Attitude and commitment earn Probation & Parole officers "Team Excellence" award

Monday, December 02, 2019

An incredible team of Oklahoma Department of Corrections Probation and Parole officers have earned 2019 Team Excellence Award for their attitude, commitment to our mission, high quality of work, proficiency, initiative, dependability and creativity.

Their positions are new to DOC, created in August 2017. Without the guidance of past best practices, they have shown amazing resourcefulness and an uncanny ability to adapt in this uncertain environment by providing meaningful training to more than 400 probation and parole staff across Oklahoma and coordinating four Probation and Parole Training Academies.

Each of them has taken the initiative to seek knowledge to learn more about best practices in community supervision, becoming better presenters, and developing training material. As evidenced by the engaging, inspiring and enthusiastic Summer Symposium they organized, they are committed to providing the best training product possible, critical to the success of their division and the agency.

Their ability to work well together and exemplary work ethic are proud examples of the agency’s dedication to serving the state.
