Meet the Mills family - our Agency Volunteers of the Year for 2018

Tuesday, November 20, 2018

Have you ever felt the desire to give back? Meet the Mills family - our Agency Volunteers of the Year for 2018.

Stan and Pat Mills have been dedicated volunteers at Dick Conner Correctional Center for the past six years, but the two have been ODOC volunteers for decades. At Dick Conner, they have taught Victim Impact: Listen and Learn, Getting Ahead While Getting Out, and the TCU Brief Interventions Series at the prison.

Under their tutelage, more than 500 inmates graduated those classes. Each of their former students expresses their gratitude, noting how much they have learned about how to be a better version of themselves.

During class, the Mills provide their students great advice, and serve as positive role models – something our inmates greatly need. Dick Conner’s chapel and program services wouldn’t be the same without the Mills, and everyone at the agency thanks them deeply for their service.
