28 ODOC cadets graduate, will staff facilities throughout eastern Oklahoma

MCALESTER – Twenty-eight correctional security officer cadets graduated Tuesday from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections satellite training academy. 

A ceremony, attended by agency leadership, as well as the cadets’ friends and family, honored the men and women at The Kings House church. 

The cadets will go on to work posts at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center and Jess Dunn Correctional Center in Taft, John Lilley Correctional Center in Boley, Mack Alford Correctional Center in Stringtown, and Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. 

Another graduation is scheduled for Jan. 7 in Healdton.
