Oklahoma DOC Director Joe M. Allbaugh Comments on the Passing of Friend and Colleague Mike McCarville

Wednesday, March 08, 2017

Oklahoma City - Today, Oklahoma Department of Corrections Director Joe M. Allbaugh released the following statement on the passing of Mike McCarville, who was a family friend and colleague.

“Mike McCarville was a great family man and close personal friend who was an inspiration to me and many others. I had the honor of first meeting him when we worked on a campaign together in the ‘80s. We remained friends until today when I heard about his unfortunate passing.

“He was passionate about his work as a reporter for a multitude of newspapers, TV stations and, probably his most memorable medium, radio. He was someone you could have a spirited but logical debate with no matter which side of the aisle you sat. Mike will be missed by his many friends, colleagues and me and my wife Diane. I pray for Mike’s family, his wife Ann, children, grand-children and great grand-children.”
