Inmate Phone Outage Reported at Lexington Correctional Center - Service should return to affected units Tuesday

Monday, November 13, 2017

LEXINGTON, Okla. – Several housing units at Lexington Correctional Center are experiencing a phone outage due to an accidentally cut line.

Phone service to housing units 4, 5 and 6 at LCC should be restored by Tuesday, Oklahoma Department of Corrections spokesman Matt Elliott said.

Crews repairing a facility water line cut the phone line unintentionally, Elliott said.

Inmates can typically use unit phones to call loved ones or for other approved purposes.

No other impacts are expected from the outage.
